Dr. Ted Stern is a conductor of the
Glendale Community College Orchestra
which he founded in 1981. Dr. Stern
teaches courses in Music
Appreciation as well as Music
History at GCC. In addition to
teaching at Glendale Community
College, Dr. Stern directs the Los
Angeles Renaissance Consort. This
will be Ted’s fourth trip as part of
the Study Abroad Program at GCC.

Dr.
Trudi Abram has recently joined the
faculty at Glendale Community
College. Her combined passions for
European travel and Art History will
make for a dynamic learning
experience, as she will be teaching
the Art History survey course with a
focus on art from the Italian
Renaissance to the present.
Professor Abram is looking forward
to exploring art in the Czech
Republic and sharing her knowledge
of Venetian art with the
participants of this program..

Professor Jiri Holub is Professor of
Political Science at Charles
University in Prague. He has taught
courses for GCC’s Prague Program
since 1996 and has been instrumental
in allowing students to explore and
understand Czech history, culture,
and politics. His impressive resume
includes serving as Czechoslovak
Ambassador to Italy and Malta from
1990 to 1992.
